Gryphon Racing is a club where University of Guelph students can gain real-world engineering experience building a performance vehicle for Formula Student competitions. This gives students the opportunity to explore and pursue their passion for knowledge through firsthand experience.
The first and last in Gryphon Racing's legacy. For the first time since the team's founding, the 600cc GSX-R engine was mounted transversely in the car and the iconic shaft drive was replaced with a chain and custom-built limited slip differential. This allowed the team to switch to 10” rims and lower the car's overall center of gravity.
A new generation of Gryphon Racing design. This car marks the ending of an almost 20-year history of GSX-R powertrains. The team at Gryphon Racing has spent countless hours developing Gryphon Racing's first ever: electric car, full aerodynamics kit, custom gearbox + differential, and custom Vehicle Control Unit.
